It’s Already 2026!

Happy New Year to All

This year has already started off as very difficult for many people around the world, and it’s hard for me to maintain my usual optimism and belief about the benefits of dance. But I will try, because dance is my northern star, and when I follow the dancing, at least some parts of the path are clear.

I change plans and make resolutions throughout the year; indeed, January 1st is not the start of my new and perfect life, but rather part of an ongoing analysis of pretty much everything about my life, which occurs in real time.

So no, I don’t have any new resolutions, but I do have plans, mostly for the first half of the year:

– Continue with all my dancing opportunities: Bachata with Maria, Afro-Brazilian, dance and drumming and Capoeira at the Brazil Center, Dancing With The Kids (DWTK) with the instructors from UCSB, and private lessons with my teachers, mostly Argentine Tango (AT.

– In fact I really plan to up my Argentine Tango level, maybe even compete solo on the barre.

– Then the performances: I have ‘Colors of Love’ on February 7th where I will be dancing a fun AT number with Yulia Maluta, the producer and my AT instructor; and another performance at the Granada on April 11 th, also produced by Yulia Maluta.

  • Then March-26th-29th is the SoCal Tango Festival/Championship which takes place in Irvine, CA and where they will have multiple workshops and Milongas. It will be a 3 day AT immersion, I have never attended anything like this before and I am very excited about that.
  • I also have plans related to work, mostly involving training others, as well as optimizing my ultrasound skills.

So, what more can I say? If I continue to have the health, time and resources to do all this, I will be infinitely grateful.

Wishing you All the best of health, time, and resources so that we may pursue our love of dance in peace.

I will post all the events shortly!
